Recycling in North Somerset

Screen shot of the Facebook page for North Somerset Reduce recycle reuseThe North Somerset Reduce, Reuse & Recycle group on Facebook is a wonderful community for finding out what can be recycled and where, and some members offer to collect plastic recycling from others (when not under Covid-19 restrictions) to take larger collections to M&S in Cribbs Causeway.

Climate Emergency CO2 Facts

In 1970, CO2 concentrations were 320 ppm; in 2014, CO2 concentrations crossed 400 ppm in the atmosphere for the first time in at least 2.5 million years. On 12th February 2019, it was 414 ppm. This rate of increase means we are on track for a 3 to 4 deg. average global temperature rise by the end of the century, which would make large parts of the planet uninhabitable.
