27 September 2019: Earth Strike to save the planet

The Earth Strike Logo“According to the CDP’s 2017 Carbon Majors Report, 71% of the world’s global industrial greenhouse gas emissions come from just 100 polluters. It is clear by now that the interests of big business do not drive the prosperity of the human race. As a society, we need to change course.

To this end, our protests, scheduled throughout 2019, will serve to raise awareness for a global general strike, beginning September 27.

Until the world’s governments and businesses are held accountable to the people, we are refusing to participate in the system that fills their pockets. There will be no banking, no offices full of employees, no schools full of children, until our demands are met.”

12th October: Sculpture, the Severn and a Nature Reserve – an NSGP ramble

This ramble will tour a part of the Port Marine Sculpture Trail and then take in views of the Severn as we walk through the Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve. This will be a leisurely walk as we take time to look at art, views and wildlife. This circular walk will take about three hours (including a picnic lunch) – taking us from the High Street, to the end of the Marina and turning east towards the Nature Reserve. The walk can be cut short at any point with an easy return to bus stops/parking.

 19 October 2019: People's Vote March

"This summer, the British people have the chance to force our way back into the final decision on Brexit. We are going on the offensive, with rallies in 15 towns and cities across the country, culminating with an enormous, historic march in London on October 19. Because it is now clear that this is a crisis that cannot be settled by a new prime minister or a deadlocked parliament. It can only be settled by us, the people."
